"icon" was not used to avoid confusing with QIcon,
but it is probably more confusing not to use the name that
is used by almost all toolkits.

Material is using the term "Ripple" for 2 different type of effects - Flutter
calls them "Splash" and "Highlight". We are using Splash too.
